She has served in pastoral ministry for the past twelve years. Michelle holds a BA from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.
This will be Michelle’s second time as leader for the Virginia Beach Women’s Retreat. She is very excited to be coming back to work with us again. Michelle has a passion for ministry and mission and enjoys sharing with groups about faith, life, family and love. Michelle resides in Amelia, Virginia, where she shares her life with her wonderful husband, Maurice, a little dog named “Henri.” One of their favorite places to spend time is at the ocean. Whether on the rocky coast of Maine or a remote island off the N.C. coast, they delight the presence of the Almighty in creation. Retreat Musician ~ Anne PorterRetreat Music Leader You may remember Anne Porter as an Associate Music Director at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church in 2002-2004. Ann holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University. Her work experience includes Children’s Choirs and Drama, Youth Drama, and Adult stage direction and organization. Anne and her husband, Dave, make their home in Portsmouth. Together they have four children. Besides music, she enjoys getting together with friends, reading and Starbucks. Anne is always happy to share her musical gifts to glorify the Lord believing that we are all created for a relationship with God and that He has gifted us in unique ways. Our commitment to the Lord should be to use those talents and gifts to point others to a personal relationship with Him.
