“Go therefore to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, even unto the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

As we come together to study the Scriptures, we come not only to learn but to be transformed by these Scriptures. Jesus, in the Great Commission, commanded that his followers go to all peoples everywhere and make disciples. His command was to teach. We are not only to teach but  to “teach them to obey.” We desire to be Christ’s disciples. We study the Scriptures, not only to learn the information, but so that the words and the stories are incorporated into our lives and we are changed. We are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through God’s Word.
