LOCATION AND TIME
 
The W.O.W. (Waves of Wonder) Puppet Ministry meets at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church in room S-307 from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoons.

HISTORY

The W.O.W Puppet Ministry began in March 2007 and made their debut to the church in July 2007 at Vacation Bible School. The puppeteers perform once a month for the elementary Sunday School opening. Present plans are to perform for other church functions such as the Fall Festival and the Angel Breakfast. Thirty-five puppets costing approximately $3,500 were adopted by church members to start this ministry.

SERVICES

The W.O.W. Puppet Ministry presents performances with a Christian-based theme to the church. As the ministry grows, puppeteers hope to perform for the community outside the church.

MEMBERS

The W.O.W. Puppet Ministry is composed of both youths and adults. Youth members must be at least 11 years old.  W.O.W members are “young at heart”, have a desire to serve the Lord and love to have fun. Members may choose the areas they wish to serve. Those who wish to join the W.O.W Puppet Ministry are invited to visit on Sunday afternoons. New members are welcome and needed.
