Senior Ministry at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church is forging a new path in ministry by and for persons age 65 and better. We’re throwing out old stereotypes in search for realistic portraits of all different stages of the second half of life. Our journey has just begun. BUT, we have claimed God’s scriptural promise for us and identified our purpose as it supports the mission of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church:

Fellowship continues to be the cornerstone of our senior ministry. Monthly opportunities exist for fun, fellowship, and faith renewal at S.E.A. (Seasoned Energetic Adults).

“Senior Advocate”…copies of this quarterly magazine for seniors featuring local articles that inspire and motivate others to do more in their community are available in Janice Cagle’s office just inside the Office Suite to the right of the elevator in the Welcome Center. This publication offers an up-to-date Senior Advocate Resource Guide of resources including but not limited to
adult day care, behavioral health, senior centers, local and state social services, extended health care, and community housing options.
