Missions
MISSION STATEMENT
The Commission on Missions organizes and equips the congregation to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ by offering spiritual, emotional, financial, and physical support to the community and beyond.  We do this as our visible expression and response to His love so that others might experience God's grace.

The Commission on Missions organizes and equips the church's efforts in supporting mission outreach locally, nationally, and globally.  Its purpose is to be the guiding force of the church's role as a mission-oriented congregation.  They coordinate mission efforts, educate and inform the congregation regarding missions, research and recommend mission opportunities, and oversee mission projects, teams, and programs.  Meetings are scheduled on the third Wednesday every other month at 6:30PM.

The goal of the Commission on Missions is to provide opportunities for the congregation of Beach United Methodist to live out our calling as the people who follow and worship Jesus Christ through:
  • Gathering in Christ's name as sisters and brothers to do as much good as possible in our sore and hurting community and throughout the world.
  • Growing in Christ's love through appreciation for God's love for us, feeding the hungry, giving spiritual drink to the thirsty, clothing the needy, and ministering to those in prison (Matthew 25:35).
  • Glorifying Christ's name through the use of our God-ordained talents to serve God's Kingdom to make new disciples (Matthew 25:14-30).

We will do this through the following ministries while continuing to be open for the guidance of the Spirit into new and exciting fields:
